Lustenau, Austria

The embroidery tradition of Vorarlberg dates back to 1753, marking the origin of an industry that would shape the region for centuries. By the turn of the 20th century, embroidery had become the primary economic driver of Vorarlberg and a significant source of export revenue, with Lustenau established as its central hub.

The region’s embroidery industry evolved through independent, family-owned enterprises rather than mass industrial structures. This model preserved technical expertise, continuity, and accountability - values that continue to define the character of embroidery production in Lustenau.

ATMOH AUSTRIA operates within this historical framework. Our approach reflects the region’s enduring principles: independence, precision, and disciplined execution, carried forward into a contemporary textile context.
